With the increasing importance of logistics to the global economy and development of the new generation transportation systems characterized with emerging technologies, integrating transportation and logistics in the supply chain is becoming a critical factor for thriving in an increasingly competitive international trading market. Initiated by National University of Singapore and Tsinghua University, co-organized by the University of Tokyo and Society of Transportation & Logistics (STL) – China Communications and Transportation Association (CCTA), the first International Conference on Transportation Logistics is to be held from 27 to 29 July 2005 in Furama RiverFront Singapore. T-LOG is also endorsed and supported by The Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific (TLI-AP, a collaboration between the National University of Singapore and the Georgia Institute of Technology).
Objective
This conference is to provide a technical forum concerning current problems, solutions and the future development of transportation logistics. Practitioners and academics will be gathered to present, discuss and exchange their knowledge and experience in fostering ideas. It will provide an excellent opportunity for transportation and logistics professionals to exchange technical information and learn from each other’s successes and struggles.
